East Arnhem Live is more than a music festival - it’s a community-led platform elevating Yolŋu artists from one of Australia’s most remote regions. Despite challenging access, the free festival focuses on creating opportunities for local musicians, many performing hundreds of kilometres from the nearest city.

Alumni from the festival, including Drifting Clouds, Andrew Gurruwiwi Band and Ripple Effect Band, are now earning national recognition and awards. This year’s event featured Beddy Rays alongside 10 local acts, including Wild Honey, Yirrmal, Mr Chrisy Mertas and Yirrkala School’s Lucky Band.

With growing national media coverage and a track record of launching emerging talent, East Arnhem Live continues to build momentum as a key cultural and music platform in remote Australia.
